Not nowadays. Simply place two charcoal lighter bags (we recommend “Big K”) – or just one for the BarbeSkew II in the charcoal tray, light the bag, leave the lid open, and then come back in 15 minutes and it’s ready to use. To create flavoured smoke you can add wood-chips to the charcoal. We recommend Western Willies Woodchips from Planet Barbecue.
